Essential features that make Trezor Bridge the most secure way to connect your hardware wallet
Your private keys never leave your Trezor device. Bridge ensures all cryptographic operations happen on your hardware wallet, not your computer.
Lightning-fast communication between your Trezor and browser. Optimized protocols ensure smooth transaction signing and account management.
Works seamlessly with all major browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. Compatible with Trezor Suite and third-party wallets.
Select and download the appropriate version for your operating system from the download section above. Make sure to download from the official Trezor website only.
Open the downloaded file and follow the installation wizard. On Windows, you may see a security warning - click "More info" and then "Run anyway". On macOS, you might need to allow the app in System Preferences > Security & Privacy.
The installer will automatically place Trezor Bridge in the correct location on your system. You don't need to configure anything manually. The installation typically takes less than a minute.
Once installed, Trezor Bridge runs in the background. Connect your Trezor device via USB, open your browser, and navigate to Trezor Suite or your preferred wallet interface.
Your browser should automatically detect your Trezor device. If you see "Trezor device detected" message, you're all set! The green indicator on your Trezor will confirm the connection.
First, ensure your Trezor device is properly connected. Try a different USB port or cable. Restart Trezor Bridge by closing your browser and reopening it. On Linux, you may need to add udev rules - visit the Trezor documentation for instructions.
Check if Trezor Bridge is running in your system tray (Windows/Linux) or menu bar (macOS). If not, launch it manually from your applications folder. You may need to reinstall if the service fails to start.
This usually indicates a communication issue. Disconnect your Trezor, close all browser tabs with Trezor Suite or wallet interfaces, wait 10 seconds, then reconnect and try again. Ensure no other applications are trying to access the device.
Make sure your browser is up to date. Clear your browser cache and cookies for Trezor websites. Disable browser extensions that might interfere with device communication, especially ad blockers or privacy tools.
If the automatic update fails, manually download and install the latest version from the official Trezor website. Uninstall the old version first if problems persist. Always backup your recovery seed before major updates.
